I've been teaching art at Victor Schools for 21 years and have enjoyed every minute of it, working with students at all levels from the Primary to the High School. I started my journey pursuing a career as an illustrator and received my BFA in illustration from the University at Buffalo.

I found my calling as an educator while helping my former art teacher work with students on their portfolios in my hometown of North Rose. Finding myself in a position where I could make a difference while helping students grow as creative thinkers and skilled craftsmen led me to a career in education. I earned my teaching certificate from Buffalo State College and a Masters in Integrating Technology Into Curriculum from Walden University.

I believe that the skills students learn should be relevant to their lives. I take advantage of every opportunity to create lessons that have real-world implications with an understanding that there are many exciting career opportunities in the arts. I look forward to helping any student who has an interest in pursuing these options beyond high school.

Beyond the classroom I have found myself as a parent in the district that I love. My daughter, Lorna and son, Steven are students are students here at Victor High School.  As a family we love to travel, fish, hike, and spend time with friends. In my free time I enjoy drawing, golfing, building things, and watching football; I'm a HUGE Pittsburgh Steelers fan who never misses a game.​
